The stormwater system under the west parking area at Eau Gallie High school is failing.

Heard Construction, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price in an amount not to exceed $472,573.72 under their continuing contract for construction management services to replace the underground stormwater system, reconstruct the pavement section affected by the excavation and seal and stripe the entire parking area upon completion. The GMP is based on a design by Morgan & Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc. under their continuing contract for civil engineering services. Additional administration and permitting costs are estimated at $5,000.

This project will be funded through FY 23 capital programmed for parking lot capital improvement. 

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement has been used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the total project construction budget for the west parking area stormwater system improvement project at Eau Gallie High School in the amount of $477,573.72

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Heard Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $472,573.72 for the west parking area stormwater system improvement project at Eau Gallie High School under their continuing contract for construction management services.
