The School Board approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Heard Construction, Inc. for the electrical renewal project at Lockmar Elementary School. This project was included in the 2020 sales surtax renewal plan. During the project, additional electrical panels were found in poor condition that need to be replaced. Heard Construction, Inc. submitted an owner-directed change order in the amount of $44,453.73 to replace the panels. Funds are available through the 2020 sales surtax allocated for electrical renewal at Lockmar Elementary School. 

Board approval is required for change orders in excess of 10% of the contract value or cumulative amount of $50,000. The proposed change order exceeds 10% of the original contract amount. The standard agreement template has been used which does not require legal review. 


Approve owner-directed change order #1 to the contract with Heard Construction Inc. for construction management services for additional electrical renewal at Lockmar Elementary School.
