Brevard Before and After School (BAS) is proud to honor our before and after school Professionals. Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and the important role these programs play in the lives of children, families, and communities. Please join us, more than 8,000 communities, and 1 million Americans in celebrating afterschool programs for this year’s Lights On Afterschool! This nationwide event, organized by the Afterschool Alliance, calls attention to the fact that 24.6 million children are missing out on afterschool opportunities.

Brevard Before and After School serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade at each of our elementary schools. Each school’s program provides a safe and healthy place beyond the school day for children of families in the community. BAS challenges students, staff, and parents of each school site to take a photo of themselves mimicking our Lights On Afterschool logo and posting it on social media with the hashtags #LightbulbChallenge and #LightsOnAfterschool.
