Discussion Florida Statutes require the State Board of Education to approve areas of critical teacher shortage across the state. State Board Rule projects public school teacher shortages in specific subject areas for the next academic year. The District School Board may identify other areas of critical shortage within the School District for District purposes and may remove areas identified by the State Board which do not apply within the School District. In accordance with Florida State Statute, state projections, and local projections, the School Board of Brevard County, Florida identifies Critical Shortage Subject Areas for the District. | ||||||||||||||||||
