The Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Ivey's Construction, Inc. for the renewal and rubberization of the track at Eau Gallie High School at the November 16, 2021 meeting. An owner-directed change order, in the amount of $25,591.55, was administratively approved to add conduits under the track for irrigation and electric (for robotic mowing). This change order also includes replacing and relocating an existing yard drainage system so that it is not a future failure point for the track. The Board approved a second owner-directed change order ($45,334.17 on March 22, 2022) for full depth reclamation of the existing track based on the recommendation of the engineer of record to address an unforseen condition. The track is substantially complete.

The proposed owner-directed change order #3 in the amount of $8,618.77 is to correct a broken sidewalk that leads to the track in order to provide the school with a finished project. The broken sidewalk is an existing condition that is not related to construction.

Board approval is required for change orders exceeding $50,000 (cumulative) or 10% of the initial contract amount.  The standard form change order has been used which does not require legal review.
