The School Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Heard Construction, Inc. at the February 22, 2022 meeting. The project is under construction. 

Educational Technology has requested an owner-directed change order to upgrade the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that protects the primary data center that houses technology that serves the entire district including school connectivity, internet access, AS400, server applications, etc..  This will provide a more robust electrical foundation for the educational technology functions at the Educational Service Facility.  

At the District's request, Heard Construction, Inc. (Heard) has submitted an owner-directed change order for the UPS and related upgrades in the amount of $146,940.29.  The design was prepared by OCI Associates, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. Administration and permitting costs were previously budgeted.  This project will be funded through 2020 sales surtax and Educational Technology capital. 

Board approval is required for change orders over $50,000 or over 10% of the original contract amount.  The change order template has been used, which does not require legal review.
