The School Board of Brevard County functions as the governing body for the Head Start program. The purpose of this board agenda item is to formally submit the July and August 2022 Head Start monthly reports. The monthly report includes enrollment, number of meals served, year-to-date budget (including p-card expenses) and reports from Head Start content area specialists. The data and ongoing monitoring information contained in this report is useful for overseeing the provision of quality services for children and families and to ensure progress toward school readiness. Grant regulations require these elements to be reported to the Governing Board and Policy Council on a regular basis.
