The School Improvement Plans (SIPs) being submitted for approval are from 104 schools including alternative sites, virtual, and charter schools.  The names of schools submitting a SIP for approval appear on the attached list.  
Each SIP includes a needs assessment analysis and action steps strategically chosen to improve student achievement.  FL Statute 1008.365, the Reading Achievement Initiative for Scholastic Excellence (RAISE) Act, establishes that schools serving students in grades kindergarten through five, where 50 percent or more of its students, in any grade level, score below a level 3 on the most recent statewide English Language Arts (ELA) assessment must explicitly address strategies for improving reading performance in the SIP.  These 27 schools (identified with *) completed the newly created RAISE section of the SIP template.  
These plans serve as the primary communication tool with parents, faculty, and community regarding each school's academic focus for the 22-23 school year.
Each SIP is reviewed by the School Advisory Council and then made available on each individual school's website once approved by the Board.  Plans may be accessed through the district website using this link:  https://sites.google.com/share.brevardschools.org/school-improvement/home
