Merritt Island High School Facility Renewal - Close Out
On March 24, 2020, the School Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Heard Construction, Inc., for the Merritt Island High School Faciity Renewal in an amount not to exceed $1,254,722.21. Subsequently, one change order was approved, changing the contract sum to $1,279,973.84.
The work has been completed and audited. The final project cost is $1,279,505.77 which includes $1,179,966.21 contracted costs and $99,539.56 in owner direct purchases. The unused balance is $468.07.
Because the cost of construction is over $300,000 the Florida Department of Education requires the Superintendent to sign the Certificate of Final Inspection (OEF-209) following certification by Engineer/Architect of Record and the Building Official.
Authorize the Superintendent to sign FDOE OEF Form 209 - Certificate of Final Inspection for the project.
