The revisions to Policy 2260 are the result of F.S. 760.10 and F.S. 1000.05. Policy 2260 has been revised to outline the types of training and instruction that are prohibited under F.S. 1000.05.

  • This policy is being revised to outline the specific types of training and instruction that is prohibited under F.S. 1000.05.
  • HB 7 amended F.S. 760.10 (Unlawful Employment Practices) and F.S. 1000.05 (the Florida Educational Equity Act) by making it unlawful discrimination to subject students, employees, or any individual to any activity that espouses, promotes, advances, inculcates, or compels them to believe that certain concepts are discriminatory. The revisions to these policies incorporate the language from HB 7.

These proposed revisions [do] encompass the suggested language from NEOLA.


Board Policy 2260 Nondiscrimination And Access To Equal Educational Opportunity is currenlty being revised and will appear before the School Board on the dates indicated below:

  • Work Session – 10/24/23
  • Rule Development (Public Hearing) – 11/14/23
  • School Board Meeting Information – 11/14/23
  • School Board Meeting Approval – 12/12/23
