| Discussion The district is proposing development and submission of a funding opportunity authorized under The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act. The purpose of these funds is to address the impact that the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (“Covid-19”) has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools in Florida. The allocation for this fund, which must be proportional shared with charter schools, is determined by the total unweighted FTE reported in the 2020-21 survey 3. There are no matching requirements for the ARP ESSER Act programs. Awarded funds under this program must be fully obligated by September 30, 2024 or earlier if so identified by The Department of Education.
