Discussion

The Board previously approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Rush Construction ,Inc. for the roof renewal project at Imperial Estates Elementary School. Since Rush Construction will already be on site this summer, staff requested a proposal for concurrent construction of the student restroom renovation project in order to reduce costs.   

Rush Construction, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $222,552.28 under their continuing contract for construction management services based on a design by Tsark Architecture under their continuing contract for architectural services for student restroom renovation in Buildings 2 and 3.The project is funded through the FY 23 Capital Plan project for student restroom renovations. Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $5,000.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used which does not require legal review. 

 

 

Recommendation

Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $227,552.28 for the student restroom renovation project at Imperial Estates Elementary Elementary School. 

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Rush Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $222,552.28 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the student restroom renovation project at Imperial Estates Elementary Elementary School.
