Freezer cooler replacements are needed at Andersen Elementary School, Lewis Carroll Elementary School, Quest Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary School and Madison Middle School. 

Canaveral Construction Co. Inc. has submitted Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals for each of the six schools under their continuing contract for construction management services. The scope of work includes demolition and installation, based on the designs prepared by DDC Engineering, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services.  The Madison Middle School project includes more extensive modifications to relocate and enlarge one of the freezer cooler areas to create dry storage space.  

For these projects, the District will be purchasing the freezer cooler units directly under their contracts with Polar King and Master-Bilt.

The GMP for each project is as follows:

Administrative and permitting costs were previously budgeted. The project will be funded through Food Services unrestricted funds.

School Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement is used which does not require legal review.
