On April 27, 2021, the School Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Canaveral Construction, Co., for the Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School Central Energy Plant Renovation project in an amount not to exceed $427,488.08. Subsequently, change orders were approved increasing the amount to $466,532.59.

The work has been completed.  The final project cost is $413,870.91 which includes $413,870.91 contracted costs.  The unused balance is $52,661.68.

Because the cost of construction is over $300,000 the Florida Department of Education requires the Superintendent to sign the Certificate of Final Inspection (OEF-209) following certification by Engineer/Architect of Record and the Building Official.


Authorize the Superintendent to sign FDOE OEF Form 209 - Certificate of Final Inspection for the project.
