Discussion

The cafeteria renovation at Astronaut High School is scheduled for summer 2021. 

Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $397,455.26 under their continuing contract for construction management services based on a design by Architects RZK, Inc. under their continuing contract for architectural services. 

Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $8,000.

The project will be funded through Food & Nutrition Services unrestricted funds.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement was used which does not require legal review. 

Recommendation

Approve the total project construction budget for the cafeteria renovation at Astronaut High School in the amount of $405,455.26

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. in an amount not to exceed $397,455.26 under their continuing contract for construction management services.
