The district has received notification of an entitlement award for a grant funded program from the Florida Department of Education. The Title II, Part A preliminary allocation for the 2021-2022 program period is in the amount of $2,258,176.00. Title II, Part A funding is intended to increase student achievement consistent with the challenging state academic standards by helping schools and districts improve teacher and principal quality. Areas of focus under Title II, Part A include supporting effective instruction through professional development, recruitment and retention, and prioritizing effective teachers for high needs students. The allocation includes a proportional share of funds for charter schools within Brevard Public Schools’ boundaries, as well as equitable services for non-public schools. There are no matching requirements for Title II, Part A. Awarded funds under Title II, Part A must be fully obligated by August 20, 2022 or earlier if so identified by the Florida Department of Education. Upon completion, a full copy of the application shall be available for review in the Secondary Leading and Learning Department
