The District is selling the Whispering Hills property. Currently, the United States Air Force (Air Force) has a lease agreement with the District for a Weather Monitoring Tower at Whispering Hills. The District notified the Air Force of the pending sale of the property, which necessitates the termination of the lease agreement. The Air Force has requested consideration of relocating the weather monitoring tower to Riverview School.

The Air Force has asked for conceptual approval in order to move forward in preparing the revised lease agreement documents. The lease agreement is expected to be similar to the current agreement at Whispering Hills. The current agreement and a map of the proposed site are attached for reference.

The new lease agreement will be reviewed by Legal Counsel and will be submitted to the Board for consideration at a future meeting. 

Conceptually approve entering into a lease agreement with the United States Air Force for the relocation of the weather station from Whispering Hills to Riverview School with terms similar to the previous lease agreement.
