The district application for Title I Part A fund which opened May 8, 2023 is being prepared for online submission to the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) by June 5, 2023.  A complete copy will be available at the start of the fiscal year.  The preliminary district allocation for FY24 is set at $17,104,162.00  the poverty rate cutoff for Title I is 59%.  Title I will fund a total of 41 schools (2 charter, 3 alternative sites, 7 secondary, and 29 elementary).  The focus of the program will continue to be on academic support for struggling students, prekindergarten units in select Title I public schools, professional development for teachers, and parent engagement activities.  Teacher salaries and benefits will continue to constitiute the bulk of the budget.  Additional budgeted items include instructional support materials and supplies, professional development and parent engagement costs, computer hardware/software and other equipment, transportation/field trip dues and fees, and the operating expenses of the District Title I Office.



It is the recommendation of Mrs. Jane Cline, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Leading and Learning, and Dr. Carol Mela, Director of Title I, to approve the online submission of the Title I Part A funds for FY24.
