The Board created an Audit Committee, which reports to the Board and shall direct and monitor the internal audit function. The committee shall be governed by rules and procedures set forth in School Board Policy 6700.

Cheryl McDougall, District 2, has chosen Ms. Vicki Mace to serve on this committee as her representative. Ms. Mace will replace Wally Majid who served as the District 2 representative since December, 2018.  The Board wishes to thank Mr. Majid for his service.

Ms. Mace has served in many roles in education from classroom teacher to assistant principal, principal and Director of School Choice for Brevard Public Schools. Most recently she works as an educational consultant for Polk County Public Schools where she facilitates the charter application process. 

Ms. Mace graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, a Master of Science in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. She holds a Certification in Educational Leadership also from the University of Central Florida.

Approve the recommendation by School Board Member Cheryl McDougall for Vicki Mace to serve on the Audit Committee as her representative.
