The freezer cooler at Heritage High School has a longstanding issue with condensation and moisture affecting the adjacent office space. Food Services and Facilities Services are jointly funding a project to replace the freezer cooler (Food Services) and modify the pad and supporting infrasture (Facilities Services) to address the underlying problem. 

Canaveral Construction Co. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project in an amount not to exceed $161,346.64 under their continuing contract for construction management services. The scope of work includes providing the freezer cooler, demolition and installation based on the design prepared by DDC Engineering, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services. Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $3,000. The project will be funded through Food Services unrestricted funds ($54,110) and capital ($107,236.64). 

School Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement is used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the project construction budget in the amount of $164,346.64 for the Heritage High School freezer cooler replacement.

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Canaveral Construction Co. in an amount not to exceed $161,346.64 under their continuing contract for construction management services.
