Satellite High School's Cross Country Team, approximately 25 male and 20 female students, one male BPS employee, and five registered volunteers (four female/one male), are requesting approval to travel to Cary, North Carolina to participate in the The Great American Cross Country Festival on October 1-4, 2020. Students will miss 1 1/2 days from school (October 1st & 2nd). The team will travel via charter bus rented with BPS approved vendor, BTM Motor Coach. Lodging will be made upon board approval at the Homewood Suites, Crabtree Valley Mall in nearby Raleigh, North Carolina. Student responsibility is approximately $100 for meals. Parents and supporters will raise funds through approved fund raisers. Volunteers will work with Running Zone events to raise funds to support the program. No student will be denied participation due to lack of funds. THERE WILL BE NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
