Discussion The Children’s Home Society of Florida, Space Coast would like to partner with Brevard Public Schools to expand Community Partnership Schools to include Cocoa High School. The Children’s Home Society staff will engage in the next grant writing opportunity to submit this proposal. Community Partnership Schools provide support, services and solutions to help alleviate the burdens of hunger, homelessness, poverty, violence, mental health struggles, illness and more. They seek to lift the weight of those burdens so that all students can realize their full potential. Community Partnership Schools are strengthened by direct collaboration between the school district, the non-profit sector, healthcare providers, and university staff. Each Community Partnership School focuses on four pillars: extended learning, student support, family and community engagement, and collaborative leadership. With this agreement, Brevard Public Schools would allow the partnership staff to work in one of the already placed portables at Cocoa High School. | ||||||||||||||||||
