Access control modifications at McAuliffe Elementary School have been proposed in response to the Security Assessment and operational review by District Security. 

Wharton Smith, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the access control modifications at McAuliffe Elementary School in an amount not to exceed $139,265 under their continuing contract for design build services based on a Design Criteria Package previously developed by District staff for security projects. Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $6,000. 

The project will be funded through available 2014 sales surtax and capital designated for security. 

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement has been used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $145,265 for the McAuliffe Elementary School access control project. 

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Wharton Smith, Inc in an amount not to exceed $139,265 under their continuing contract for design build services for the McAuliffe Elementary School access control project.
