The purpose of the proposed new policy is to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, Florida State Board of Education Rules, Board policies, administrative rules, procedures, and guidelines. In addition, the proposed new policy will promote transparency and accountability.

This new policy is being proposed to clarify the procedures regarding Wellness, and other changes in compliance with applicable Florida law.
• Policy 8510 will replace former Policy 3315 – Student and Staff Wellness
  which has been recommended for deletion from Board Policies.
• This new policy encompasses the suggested language from NEOLA.

Proposed Board Policy 8510 Wellness will appear before the School Board on the dates indicated below:

• Work Session - 5/24/22
• Rule Development Workshop – 6/14/22 
• School Board Meeting Information – 6/14/22 
• School Board Meeting Approval – 6/28/22

Hold a hearing and approve Board Policy 8510 Wellness.
