Accept the resignation of Sarah E. Robinson from the position of Principal at Viera High School, effective June 30, 2023. Accept the resignation of Stephanie A. Soliven from the position of Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Leading and Learning, effective July 31, 2023. Accept the retirement of Kathryn Jane Cline from the position of Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Leading and Learning, effective July 31, 2023. Accept the correction of the effective start date for the reclassification/transfer of Terrence R. Haus, board approved on June 13, 2023, from August 3, 2023 to August 2, 2023. Rescind the resignation of Janene M. Jost for June 30, 2023, board approved on March 28, 2023, and accept the reclassification/transfer from the position of Principal at Sunrise Elementary School to the position of Teacher at Westside Elementary School, on annual contract, effective August 2, 2023. The reclassification/transfer of Deanna M. Ms. Jenkins raised concerns as to why the bus driver wage increase was not taken to 1010 bargaining, but instead an updated job description was provided. 

Dr. Rendell and other board members provided input as to the crisis of delivering this wage increase ASAP. Further discussion ensued among the board members and superintendent concerning the process of how the bus driver wage increase resulted.

Recommend approval of the submitted job description with commensurate increase to the salary table, as requested/submitted by Rachad Wilson, Chief Operating Officer. There will be no further salary enhancements or raises for the position of bus driver for all of SY24.

The education of children is a fundamental value of the people of the State of Florida. It is, therefore, a paramount duty of the state to make adequate provision for the education of all children residing within its borders.
