Space Coast Jr/Sr High School's Chorus, approximately 50 students accompanied by two male and one female BPS employees and four male and female registered volunteers, are requesting approval to travel to New York City, New York on March 8-11, 2024, to perform at The National Youth Choir Festival at Carnegie Hall on March 10, 2024. While in New York City the group will also attend a Broadway show, and visit various sites. Students will miss two school days - March 8th and March 11th. The group will leave on March 8th and return on March 11, 2024. All travel and lodging arrangements will be made through World Strides Educational & Experiences which will include air travel, charter bus to and from the airport, transportation while in New York and lodging. The chorus auditioned and were chosen to perform. All trip costs will be paid for by funds from approved fundraising. THERE IS NO COST TO THE DISTRICT. An Itinerary is attached. 

Recommendation

Approve the request of Space Coast Jr/Sr High's Chorus, approximately 50 students accompanied by two male and one female BPS employees and four male and female registered volunteers, to travel to New York City, New York on March 8-11, 2024, to perform at the National Youth Choir Festival at Carnegie Hall, attend a Broadway show and visit various sites.
