Endeavour Elementary School - Additional Construction Management Services - SALES SURTAX
Consent w/o Information - 06/16/2020
At their January 14, 2020 meeting, the Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $630,494 submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. for the restroom project at Endeavour Elementary School under their continuing contract for construction management services.
Since that time, the intercom has been identified as failing and should be replaced while there is a contractor on campus. Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted an owner-directed change order in an amount not to exceed $216,583.74 to replace the intercom.
The project will be funded through capital. Expenses may be transferred to sales surtax if resources are available and recommended by the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee (ICOC). The next ICOC meeting is scheduled for June 17, 2020.
Board approval is required for change orders over $50,000 or over 10%. The standard change order template has been used, which does not require legal review.
