Viera Elementary School - Additional Construction Management Services
Consent w/o Information - 06/16/2020
The Board awarded the Viera Elementary School construction management services contract (RFQ 19-422-Q-DR) to Wharton Smith, Inc. at the February 12, 2019 School Board meeting.
Based on the recently completed security assessment, the District requested an owner-directed change order to add recommended security features to the construction.
Proposed Change Order #1, in the amount of $192,610, provides the recommended security features.
The Viera Elementary School project is funded through educational impact fees. Funding is available for the additional work.
Board approval is required for change orders exceeding 10% of the contract amount or $50,000.
Approve Change Order #1 with Wharton Smith, Inc. in the amount of $192,610 for additional security features.
