Astronaut High School - Additional Construction Management Services
Consent w/o Information - 06/16/2020
At their January 28, 2020 meeting, the Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $1,552,788.47 submitted by Core Construction Services of Florida, LLC (Core) for the sales surtax facility renewal project at Astronaut High School under their continuing contract for construction management services.
During construction it was discovered that 11 structural support steel column members were in an advanced state of deterioration. Core has submitted an owner-directed change order to repair and refurbish the columns in the amount of $123,696.18
The project will be funded through capital. This is not a sales surtax eligible expenditure.
Board approval is required for change orders over $50,000 or over 10%. The standard change order template has been used, which does not require legal review.
Approve Change Order #1 submitted by Core in the amount of $123,696.18 for the structural column repair and refurbishment at Astronaut High School.
