The Office of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) would like to submit an applicaton for the 2022-23 Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grant to the Flordia Department of Agriculture for the following schools:  Cambridge Elementary, Endeavour Elementary, and Saturn Elementary.  The application submission deadline is Friday, June 24, 2022.  We are hopeful that all three schools will be selected to participate in this program.  FFVP grant funding is available for the period of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, for elementary schools.  One of the criteria for receiving the grant is that eligible schools must have 50 percent or more students who are eligible for free and reduced-priced meals with the highest priority given to those schools. Funds will be used to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables to be served at no charge to students, while a small percentage of funds may be used for operation and administrative costs incurred for the preparation and distribution of the fruits and vegetables.  Funding is estimated at $293,250 and does not require a cash match.

Apply for Cambridge, Endeavour, and Saturn Elementary schools to participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) for the 2022-23 School Year.
