The School Board awarded a design build contract to Wharton Smith, Inc. in October 2016 for District School Security following a competitive selection process. (RFP #17-P-029-DR). The contract was recently extended through December 31, 2021 to complete the projects that are currently in progress, including Cluster C. 

The Board approved the Phase 1 Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for Cluster C in an amount not to exceed $1,437,303 at their December 17, 2019 meeting. At the time, this represented roughly 63% of the Cluster C plan. With the approval of the FY 21 captal plan, funding is available to complete the Cluster C project. 

Wharton Smith, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price to complete the Cluster C project in an amount not to exceed $755,500. The equipment will be purchased separately directly by the District. The project will be funded with previously budgeted state grants, capital funds and FY 21 capital funds. 

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000.

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Wharton Smith, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $762,120 to complete the District School Security Cluster C project.
