Approve the amendment of the language in the Reopening Schools 2020-2021 Plan approved at the July 14, 2020 School Board meeting revising the language from “When social distancing cannot be adhered to, it is expected that students and staff wear a face covering. The student dress code applies to face coverings and only the nose and mouth should be covered, not the full face,” to “When social distancing cannot be adhered to, it is required that students, staff, visitors, and vendors wear a face covering with certain approved exceptions.” The student dress code applies to face coverings and only the nose and mouth should be covered, not the full face. This requirement should be implemented into the Student Codes of Conduct and into the Board Polices through emergency rule-making procedures to meet the start of school followed by standard rule-making implementation.
