July 21, 2021 Board Work Session (Initial Preparation and Discussion Superintendent's Evaluation)

The School Board of Brevard County met in a work session to discuss the Superintendent's evaluation.  Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Thursday, July 3, 2021 edition of The Eagle.  An affidavit of publication is available in the Board offce.

3. Discuss and Prepare Superintendent's Evaluation

Board members had each provided rankings on Superintendent Mark Mullins' specified evaluation tool as well as comments.  During the work session, Board members reviewed the rankings, had discussion and came to consensus on comments for the standards. The Board identified  areas of strength in Dr. Mullins' performance as well as areas they would like to see growth. The Board discussed Dr. Mullins' performance based goals determined during his last evaluation cycle as well as ones for the 2021-2022 school year. 

 

A clean and final draft of the evaluation tool will be compiled by the administrative assistant in preparation for presentation to Dr. Mullins on August 4, 2021 at ESF in the Superindent's Conference Room.  Board members will assemble at 9:00 a.m. for review and make any changes to the final draft before discussion with the Superintendent.
