The School Board met in regular session on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Thursday, July 1, 2021 edition of The Eagle. An affidavit of publication is available in the Board Office.

The Board held a moment of silence in memory of a BPS family member who recently passed away: Andre Hutchins, a student from Melbourne High School.

An amendment was added to move public comments not regarding agenda items and the presentation following business items requiring action and/or possible actions such as those under information. EducateU was allowed to make a recognition to the Board in advance of the presentation.

Persons who signed up to address agenda items were given opportunity to speak before votes were taken. There was one speaker who signed up to address Item F-21.
Lindy Sinka from EmployU made a recognition to the Board.
Following Dr. Mullins' presentation, Ms. Belford reminded public speakers of the three minute time limit as well as the decorum expected while speaking.

Board consensus was to have Katye Campbell serve as the FSBA Board of Director for Brevard County with Jennifer Jenkins serving as the alternate. General Counsel Gibb indicated he needed to have conversation with FSBA before a decision was made for the Advocacy Committee.
