The School Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Canaveral Construction, Co., Inc. under their continuing contract for construction management services for the cafeteria renovation at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School at its February 23, 2021 meeting. 

At the request of the District, Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a proposal to tile the entire cafeteria floor (replacing terrazzo) in the amount of $59,394.26. The original scope of work included new tile only in areas that were disturbed. Tiling the entire cafeteria will provide a consistent and even floor surface throughout the cafeteria.

The project will be funded through Food & Nutrition Services unrestricted funds.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard change order form was used which does not require legal review. 

Recommendation

Approve the proposal for additional tile submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. in an amount of $59,394.26 under their continuing contract for construction management services.
