The Department of Adult and Community Education is proposing a Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant project funded by the Florida Department of Education, Division of Career and Adult Education. The proposal will include the request for funding to support a new pre-apprenticeship program in the information technology career cluster to support student completions of entry-level industry credentials in Cybersecurity such as IT fundamentals.

The competitive grant proposal was released by the Florida Department of Education on June 8, 2022. The deadline for grant submission is July 15, 2022.

Recommendation

Approve the submission of the 2022-23 Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant (PCOG) proposal.
