The FY 22 capital plan includes $200,000 for a press box at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School. Edgewood does not have a press box and sound system supporting their outdoor athletics such as lacrosse and soccer. Additional bleacher seating is also needed. 

Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the press box project at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School in an amount not to exceed $279,217.68 under their continuing contract for construction management services based on a design by TLC Engineering Solutions under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. 

The project will be funded through the FY 22 capital plan and an additional investment of up to $70,000 in the proposed FY 23 capital plan. Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School is contributing $40,000 to the project.  Additional administration and permitting costs are estimated at $10,000.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement has been used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $289,217.68 for the Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School press box project.

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Canaveral Construction, Co., Inc. in an amount not to exceed $279,217.68 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School press box project.
