The 2020 sales surtax plan includes structured cabling for educational technology at Columbia Elementary School. The scope of work includes electrical and mechanical upgrades in support of the technology project.

Heard Construction, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price in an amount not to exceed $894,282.39 under their continuing contract for design build services based on a Design Criteria Package (DCP) prepared by District staff.  Administration and permitting costs have been previously budgeted. The project is funded through the 2020 sales surtax budgeted for the structured cabling project at Columbia and unused 2014 sales surtax designated for educational technology.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used, which does not require legal review.

Approve the construction services budget in the amount of $894,282.39 for the educational technology structured cabling project at Columbia Elementary School.

Approve the construction services proposal submitted by Heard Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $894,282.39 for design build services for the educational technology structured cabling project at Columbia Elementary School.
