Merritt Island High School's Varsity Baseball Team, 18 students accompanied by three BPS employees (two male/one female) and one male registered volunteer, are requesting approval to travel to Gulf Shores, Alabama on March 12-17, 2023 to participate in a baseball tournament and attend a University of Florida baseball game. The group plans to depart from Merritt Island High School in vans rented from a BPS approved vendor on Sunday, March 12th at approximately 9:00 a.m., arriving in Gulf Shores, AL at approximately 5:00 p.m., and return on Friday, March 17th.at approximately 11:15 p.m. Lodging will be provided at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Gulf Shores. Cost per student is $600, which covers transportation, lodging, meals and entry fees. All costs will be covered by the booster club. THERE IS NO COST TO THE DISTRICT. An itinerary is attached.
