Palm Bay Magnet High School's MCJROTC Rifle Team, five students accompanied by one male BPS employee and one female registered volunteer, are requesting approval to travel to Anniston, Alabama to compete in the MCJROTC Air Rifle Service Championships on February 1-5, 2023 and if qualified, to travel and compete in the National JROTC Championship in Port Clinton, Ohio on March 22-26, 2023.  The group plans to depart from Palm Bay Magnet High School on Wednesday, February 1st at 6:00 a.m. and return on Sunday, February 5th at approximately 3:00 p.m. Transportation will be by private vehicles driven by the chaperones. Lodging will be at the Holiday Inn Express in nearby Oxford, AL. Cost for student is for meals only. All other costs are being funded by U.S. Marine Corps JROTC HQ Quantico, VA, which includes transportation and lodging.  THERE IS NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.  Championship travel arrangements will be made once qualified for the event.
