The Department of Career & Technical Education is proposing a “Pathways to Career Opportunities” grant project funded by the Florida Department of Education- Division of Career and Adult Education. The proposal will focus on the manufacturing pre-apprenticeship program to support the occupations of advanced manufacturing, machining, robotics, and related occupations. The pre-apprenticeship program will assist in meeting the workforce demand for qualified applicants into registered apprenticeship programs.

The competitive grant proposal was released by the Florida Department of Education in the beginning of November with a due date of December 3, 2020. In order to meet the deadline, the Superintendent signed the project application prior to the deadline. Full copies of the proposal are available for review in the Department of Career & Technical Education.


Approve the submission of the Pathways to Career Opportunities grant proposal.
