The sales surtax renewal plan includes funding for electrical renewal at University Park Elementary School. 

Welsh Construction. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $749,393 under their continuing contract for design build services for the project based on the design prepared by DDC, Inc. during the preconstruction phase of the project. The design criteria package was prepared by OCI Associates, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. Administration and permitting costs have been previously budgeted. At its December 8,2021 meeting, the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee recommended additional funding of $2,000,000 from the 2020 sales surtax revenue for electrical renewal projects, of which $550,000 will be needed for this project.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $749,393 for the electrical renewal at University Park Elementary School. 

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Welsh Construction, in an amount not to exceed $749,393 under their continuing contract for design build services for the electrical renewal at University Park Elementary School. 

Approve an additional allocation of $550,000 from the 2020 sales surtax revenue for the project.
