| Discussion The Career & Technical Education (CTE) program requested an upgrade to the electrical system serving the welding lab to support more advanced equipment. Cape Design Engineering Co. prepared the design under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. Three bids were received for the electrical system upgrade from the District's continuing electrical contractors. The lowest bid was received from Lowe Electric, LLC in the amount of $142,251.32. Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $5,000. The project will be funded through capital. Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used, which does not require legal review.
