Astronaut High School's Science Research Team, four students accompanied by two male and two female BPS employees, are requesting approval to travel to the Bodega Marine Laboratory in Bodega Bay, California on March 20-25, 2021. The invitation to participate was sent from the University of Central Florida Department of Sociology, College of Science with full funding by the US National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) supplement grant so there will be no cost to students or teachers. The students will miss five school days (March 21-25). The group will travel by air. The lodging will be determined after board approval.  THERE IS NO COST TO THE DISTRICT. Program information is attached. 

Recommendation

Approve the request of Astronaut High School's Science Research Team, four students accompanied by two male and two female BPS employees, to travel to Bodega Marine Laboratory in Bodega Bay, California on March 20-25, 2022.
