The school district sponsors three secondary regional science and engineering fairs affiliated with state and international science and engineering fairs.  More than 800 students are expected to participate in the regional fairs district-wide this year.  Our affiliation with the state science and engineering fair permits us to send up to 84 students with an appropriate number of chaperones to compete for awards and scholarships.  Our affiliation with the international science and engineering fair permits us to send up to 8 students with chaperones to compete for awards and scholarships.  Brevard students have historically been quite successful at these fairs.  The state and international science and engineering fairs also offer learning opportunities for both students and chaperones (e.g. scientific field trips, interaction with experts, Nobel Prize winning scientists, and safety update sessions).  The fairs are scheduled as follows:  67th Annual State Science Fair of Florida, March 29 through 31, 2022, Lakeland, Florida; Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, May 8 through 13, 2022, Atlanta, Georgia.

Approve the participation of regional science fair winners at the 67^th Annual State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida and “Best of Show” senior division regional winners at the 2022 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
