| Discussion The sales surtax renewal program includes funding for roof renewal at South Lake Elementary School (year 1), Apollo Elementary School (year 2) and Imperial Estates Elementary School (year 2). The District issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ 21-345-Q-DR) for design services for these projects. The design contract was awarded to Gale Associates, Inc. at the School Board's April 13, 2021 meeting. Gale Associates, Inc. has completed pre-design services to recommend a roof renewal method for each project. Gale Associates, Inc. has submitted design proposals for each of the projects as follows:
Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $10,000 for each project. Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the Agreement has been used which does not require legal review.

| Recommendation Approve the design phase budgets for projects at Apollo Elementary School ($154,239), South Lake Elementary School ($152,402.50) and Imperial Estates Elementary School ($187,037). Approve the design services task orders with Gale Associates, Inc. (RFQ 21-345-Q-DR) for projects at Apollo Elementary School ($144,239), South Lake Elementary School ($142,402.50) and Imperial Estates Elementary School ($177,037).
