Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School - HVAC Replace at Failure - Construction Management Services - SALES SURTAX
Consent w/o Information - 01/14/2020
The facility renewal project at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School is scheduled for summer 2020, but the Guaranteed Maximum Price has not been finalized. However, an air handling unit at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School failed and needs to be replaced. Contracting for this now will allow the equipment to be ordered and installed in advance of the summer project.
Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price in an amount not to exceed $197,765.05 to replace the air handling unit under their continuing contract for construction management services, based on a design by DDC Engineering, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP) engineering services. Administration and permitting costs are budgeted.
Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000.
Approve the project budget in the amount of $197,765.05 for the replacement of an air handling unit at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School.
Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price in an amount not to exceed $197,765.05 submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. under their continuing contract for construction management services for the replacement of an air handling unit at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School.
