Discussion The sales surtax facility renewal project at Titusville High School is scheduled for summer 2020. Ivey's Construction, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $1,879,549.29 under their continuing contract for construction management services. The design was prepared by DDC Engineering, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP) engineering services. Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $10,000. The scope of the project is primarily HVAC, controls , electrical, building envelope renewal and classroom technology infrastructure. Funding will be allocated by sales surtax categories based on the allocation distribution in Exhibit B attached.The prior spent and encumbered includes an earlier project to replace the roof on Building 19. The supplemental sales surtax funding ($770,000) for this project will be considered by the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee prior to the School Board's January 14, 2020 meeting. Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000.

Recommendation Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $1,889,549.29 for the facility renewal project at Titusville High School. Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Ivey's Contruction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $1,879,549.29 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the facility renewal project at Titusville High School.
