Palm Bay Magnet High School's MCJROTC Air Rifle Team has qualified to participate in the US Army Jr. Nationals Air Rifle Championship and is requesting approval for five students, accompanied by one BPS male employee and one female registered volunteer, to travel to Fort Benning, Georgia and Ft. Mitchell, Alabama on January 22-26, 2020 for the event. The group plans to depart from Palm Bay Magnet High School on Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:00 a.m. in the private vehicles of BPS employee, SgtMaj Roy J. DeYoung and registered volunteer, Kimberley DeYoung and return on Sunday, January 26th at approximately 3:00 p.m. Students will miss three school days (January 22nd, 23rd, and 24th). Lodging will be provided at the Uchee Creek Campground and Marina (Cabins) at 7 Uchee Creek Rd, Ft Mitchell, Alabama 36856. Student cost is for meals only. All other costs will be funded through approved fund raising and sponsorship which have been held during the school year. THERE IS NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
