Roosevelt Elementary School - Construction Management Services
Consent w/o Information - 02/08/2022
Roosevelt Elementary School is a former middle school with a gymnasium. The gym does not currently have air conditioning. The gym is used by students at the school as well as by students from Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School for practices. The locker room was air conditioned as part of the project to air condition any remaining locker rooms that did not have air conditioning.
Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) to air condition the gym in an amount not to exceed $461,538.09 under their continuing contract for construction management services based on a design by DDC Engineering, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $6,000. The project will be funded through funds remaining from the locker room air conditioning project and from capital.
Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement has been used which does not require legal review.
Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $467,538.09 for the gym air conditioning project at Roosevelt Elementary School.
Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. in an amount not to exceed $461,538.09 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the gym air conditioning project at Roosevelt Elementary School.
